    Anfield Will Do Cech Proud!

    http://www.chelsea.vitalfootball.co....le.asp?a=47144

"The news that Petr Cech is likely to return at Anfield will be welcomed by all the Chelsea support.

The manner in which Jose Mourinho teased the press corps by announcing that he'd have a £50 million player available was, in its own way, pure theatre. However, Jose wasn't wrong.

Cech's return will give an added assurance to the defence, his mere presence will allow the back four to concentrate on their defensive roles rather than have half a mind on whether Hilario is coming or going. In a way returning to first team action in front of the Kop is an act that could probably only be beaten by Cech making his long awaited return at Stamford Bridge.

Although it pains me to say it, the Koppites are amongst the most knowledgeable supporters around (that last line was bloody painful to write) and we here at Vital Chelsea have no doubt that, despite playing for Chelsea - a team Liverpool despise, Cech, on running towards the Kop, will be given a standing ovation.

What happened to Cech highlighted the frailty of us all. An innocuous looking challenge almost ending up not only ending his career but terminating his life. Much has been written about the incident and it's probably best to leave the events of that well be, however, it looks like there will be a permanent reminder available for all to see for some time to come.

Cech has been training wearing a specially adapted piece of headwear. It looks likely that, for the foreseeable future, it will become a familiar part of his kit. In time, there is probably a risk that those of a less sensitive persuasion will seek to make commercial gain from marketing replica Cech headgear. Quite how that will be received remains to be seen.

However, as his comeback draws ever nearer, I for one cannot wait to hear the ovation he'll get from all those packed within Anfield, if it is to be Liverpool away, or indeed Stamford Bridge if Wycombe are chosen to be the opposition.

    Welcome back Petr Cech!"

How about a little generosity, eh, Marky?
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

            Translation anybody?

And why not just have an opinion of your own instead of continiously quoting other forums/posters?

Maybe something to do with the fact that Syd etc are regular visitors to Anfield, whereas i get over twice a season if i'm lucky.

Lets give Cech the applause he deserves from coming back from a serious injury just as we would to any player in the same predicament (apartr from scum players of course). And then lets absolutely batter him with crosses and challenges, all within the rules of the game.

I don't think he will play against us but it concerns me that he will. Not because I think he'll have a stormer but moreo because our players may well be sh!t scared of going in hard on him. On top of that the ref will be extra cautios and probably afford him more protection than normal.

All I'm asking is that you form your own opinion from your own perspective rather than keep borrowing others views.

He'll be unbelievably nervous and extremely error prone. It's only good news for us IMO.

He will get an applause like any other team that comes out onto the pitch against us.

It ain't an opinion, it was mentioned when there was a thread about Keppers that do and don't applaud the Kop at game's and if memory serves me correctly Cech was one of them that didn't.
