Fair play to ye Graeme Souness

Souness is one of the pundits on RTE 2 'The Premiership' programme and he
was full of praise for our performance today, our form of late and the atmosphere at the ground the day, even said we have an outside chance of winning the Premiership, overall very optimistic about the Club.
Ok, maybe he's just stating the obvious but many pundits have already gone on about Chelsea's defensive crisis etc without wanting to praise us for exploiting it and exploiting it well, Souness however doesn't fall into this category thankfully.

Makes a nice change and i think it's pretty clear he's still a Liverpool fan at heart.

I've always like him, best midfield player i've ever seen.
Always thought he made sence when commentating on a game, just a pitty he can't convert it to managing a team

I also liked the comments about the crowd and about Chelsea. Basically said that you can't buy tradition. Also said that Jose has only got himself to blame, and shouldn't be making excuses for his centre halfs.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Same here, not seen a midfielder in his class since he retired.

I like him as a pundit, he calls a spade a spade, and I think he likes the Irish show's way of being able to say pretty much what you want about a performance.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

If Souness was a player today he would be a superstar. He was that good. He would even put SG in his shadow. Probably the best player I've ever seen - maybe just shades Kenny in my book, in terms of the impact he had on the team.

Yeah there is no-one better than an idealized Souness.

Well said by him. It's nice to hear some of our ex players giving us praise when it's due. I wonder what Hansen and Lawro have to say tonight?

                      maybe not even average.

is the problem with great great players that they cant believe that the people playing for them are not as good as they where

i read that hoddle has this problem. That in training with England he could make passes and do things with the ball that the team couldnt and he didnt understand why they couldnt do what he did

i actually thought hoddle was a good player and a good england manager

however clearly barmier than a bag or barmy things

Souness a great player and an average manager. But still, he's forever engraved in the hearts of Galatasaray supporters, when they defeated Fenerbahce at Fenerbahce's stadium and after the match Souness went to the centre circle and sticked a Gala flag in the middle of it

Though he was ****e managing Liverpool, he is still one of my favourites...

Souness is the best midfielder to ever play for Liverpool, but one of the worst (if not the worst) managers. Some of his transfers defied belief.

Fair play for him for saying those things but they are just TV pundit comments. The S*n episode marks him down in my book as a bit of a cock.
