Thought about Berbatov myself but as fantastic as he's been for Spurs at home, he's consistently anonymous away from home. Also, he has no pace which isn't ideal - ideally the striker who replaces Robbie will be pacey, as we only have Bellamy to give us that option. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Richards is also comfortable in midfield and, I believe, his best position is centre back. He could be an alternative to Finnan at right-back, and also be a long-term replacement for Sami at centre-half. Sami's days are numbered, leaving us with only Carra, Agger and Paletta. So clearly we're gonna need another centre-back.Originally posted by Morphorino View PostNo because, Nolan for example will always be a squad player, but take Micah Richards who won't oust Finnan straight away but many would admit he looks to have the talent to do it eventually. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Problem with Aaron Lennon is that you want to see what he will be like in a few years time - will he still be performing or will he become as anonymous as SWP?

Seriously?Originally posted by Cantankerous View PostFrom the prem minus the big three I would have
Jaaskelinan or Shay Given - I do like Reina, but I just think they are better
Jaaskelainen and Given are both terrific keepers, but I am continually amazed at the number of Reds who are unconvinced by Reina. He's fantastic - just how many clean sheets does the bloke need to keep before he gets the praise he deserves? **** LOADS last season and **** LOADS again this.
In fact, could anyone produce the stat of how many clean sheets Pepe has kept since that first run of shut-outs last season? It must be a phenomenal figure.
It is grossly ill-informed to say "he has an easy job behind that back four". Just look at the difference when Dudek played in the FA Cup game against Arsenal. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
