According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
would take him like a light.
His game is being destroyed under Maureen. He would flourish in the Premier LEague at either Ourselves, Arsenal or United, he has picked the wrong club going to the Chavs playing wise.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I it hate when people say players aren't committed because they want to be substituted when injured.
Just look at Harry Kewell for example, in istanbul he got murdered by the press, by pundits and I'm sad to say by many fans - this was totally unjustified as he had actually picked up a serious injury.
I think it would be a tremendous signing if we got Robben - it would be the steal of the season and a real coup by Rafa. Robben would transform our midfield into a more fluid and dynamic beast and what's more, into a EPL winning team.
We need wingers with magic in their feet that are going to run at defenders with pace and take the ball past players. At present we don't have that and Robben would give it to us in abundance.

I think Carrsim and Howard are right on this one. He would be a great addition as a player but as a personality he would be problematic.
The thing is the list of wingers I would at various points have wanted to see come to us that are now far to injury prone is getting pretty long: Vicente, Duff, Robben(, Kewell). It seems that the modern game extracts a heavy toll on tis sort of player.

i don't even think he's that good a player. 1 good game in about 4. i expect him to end up at a place like spurs frankly
