sorry to correct anyone but if i remember right ged wanted eto after he realised diouf wasnt going to cut it but the board denied him the money because they basically didnt trust his judgement by then.

Way I remember it Houllier was still hoping we would get Cisse earlier than we did so didn't pursue him. I was ****ing gutted. Quality player. Real really messed him around and they've paid for it
