How do people feel about Gillett/Hicks

I am implying that they know that Liverpool is one of the Best Clubs in Football. They wanted to own a Football club. They realise that Football is the most popular Sport in the world. As Sport Club Owners, they are in it to improve the clubs and thereby increase their own shares.

Once you realise these abovementioned facts. Why make a Big Issue over Due Dilligence? All you need to do is check for major bookkeeping scams and hidden debts. If they dont exist, Pay what the club is worth and start with running the club the way you'd want it to be run. Trying to get the club on the cheap, shows a more short term motive.

There is a bit more to it than that though

I've followed Dhavlos' opinions for a few days and to be fair to the lad, he's been consistent and its been a good topic of debate with someone who goes into detail instead of just saying " I have a bad feeling about this"

Why is it so important that they know everything about football right now?

They key point for me is that they know how to run a sports club.

They will learn more and more about football. They will fall in love with the club just as all of us have done.

Right now the most important things is to build the stadium, give Rafa the money he need, get good sponsorship deals and start to market the club all over the world.

Gillett and Hicks will be able to do that IMO.

i can't pretend I'm happy with the new owners. Part of that I admit is because they are American. I make no bones about it, I would rather not have american owners. They don't understand football & they have no affinity for LFC as a club. Before we know it, we'll be brand LFC. like many Britains i am ante american, it might nt be politically correct but thats the way i feel.

lets leave anti american aside H9 mate and look at it from a LFC point of view, them bloody yanks are good at business as someone else said on this thread(cant remember who). They never go into a business not wanting not to succeed. Parry & Moore saw that, recognized it and seized on it.
i thought that they were both genuine & took an interest in our club & city(used the word Scousers among other things).
Lets give them the benefit of the doubt and trust in Parry. The future is RED Heighway mate.

Well thanks Kopdan. Makes a change from your comment earlier this season that at least something good would come out of our defeat at the Emirates if it meant I was swinging from a noose in my bedroom

They're not going to lose interest on a 470 million pound investment, they've got to make it work. In fact I think there's less chance of these lads losing interest than there is DIC.
I want to see us as a well run self-sufficient club with a 60000 seater stadium challenging for honours. I don't want to see a billionaire spunking 200 million a year in the transfer market on us buying players we can only afford whilst the billionaire is around.
I think these lads share the same vision for the future. The fact that they want to get the stadium up ASAP is the biggest plus point in my opinion.
