That's only your favourite because i was next to youOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostStevie's second against West Ham.
He just plucked that bit of magic out of thin air, and then celebrated right in front of me.

What a sublime moment. I was worried i might've cracked a rib or two with that aggressive kinda hug i threw your way

Just brought back some wonderful memories mateOriginally posted by Owen20 View PostI cant pick one, but here's a few, (in no particualr order)...
Smicer's goal, and Alonso's equalizer in the CL Final,
Gerrard's 2nd in the FA Cup Final,
Collymore's goal V Newcastle, in the 1st 4-3 @ Anfield,
Mellor's wonder strike V Arse (last kick of the game, to win 2-1),
Gary Mac's 40 yard free-kick V Neverton (last kick of the game),
Fowler's goal in the League Cup Final against Birmingham,
Owen's FA Cup Final winner V Arse,
Gerrards goal V Olympiakos (to put us through to the next round of the CL),
Garcia's goal V Juventus.
Fowlers goal V Scum, (years ago), to go 2 up @ Anfiled, in the last few minutes... Roy Evans was in charge, and when the goal went in, he jumped up, and you could actually lip-read him on tv... "**** You... **** You", he said

Ha! It's all a blur to be honest...I only remember Stevie hitting it....about two full seconds to realise it had gone in...and then just absolute chaos...went ****ing, ****ing mental....Originally posted by DJS View PostThat's only your favourite because i was next to you

Next thing I knew that fella 'alltheway' and his ginger missus were going nuts with us in a little huddle.
What a moment.

The memories.
Wonder what happened to that bloke. Sound fella he was, could easily have sold them for £800 a piece, but let them go for £200. Even if he DIDNT pay the whole £200 himself, and made a bit of a profit, fair play to him.
What a great day

Can anyone remember Fowlers volley against West Ham at upton park.
Also take a look at his Second goal in the first 4-3 game a faster counter attack you'll never see. His goal against Bran bergen I think is his favourite
you have to see it to believe it if Rooney had done something similar Lawrenson Would have turned into sir alexes personal toilet roll.Just to be clear I hate Rick Parry with a ****ing passion and no I don't want to talk about it.

what a smashing player he was.Originally posted by Radar View PostJohn Barnes v QPR...
No player past or present could match how great John Barnes was from '86-'90

that goal were he ran through the middle playing 1-2's with two team mates was fantastic.
if only we had someone like him now
Apart from appearance i can see alot of Barnes in Ribery."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

As silly as it sounds, he was underrated too. In lists of best LFC player ever, you always get the usual suspects in the top 5, Kenny, Emlyn, Souness and the like, but Barnes never seems to get that high on the list, when IMO he should. True legend. He'd rip the league to pieces now.
Cristiano Ronaldo my arse...
