Keegans second goal v the Barcodes in74 was even more special - 1-2s across the pitch and down the line befor KK knocked it in.Originally posted by southern red View PostDon't want to show my age but...
Ian St John v Leeds to win 1965 FA Cup
Kevin Keegan's first v Newcastle in 1974 Cup Final
Phil Boersma v Stoke 1974/75, if you were there, you'll remember it!
Terry Mac v Spurs 1978
Terry Mac v Everton in 1977 Semi Final - sublime chip
Davie Fairclough v Everton 1976, last minute, won ball on halfway line, dribbled round whole Everton team before beating Dai Davies at near post.
Fairclough again v St Etienne - the moment we knew we could win the European Cup
Any goal by Emlyn Hughes - just for his celebration!!
Terry Mac could have geat goal competition on his own; the Spurs 7-0 is clearly his/the teams masterpiece, but he also had the opener vs Moenchengladbach in '77 and a truly magnificent chipped one vs Aberdeen, European Cup, circa 1979-80.
Another fave - Big Jan vs the Mancs, LC c'85. Hardest Shot. Ever!

Terry Mac's chip was awesome. He also scored a great volley against Spurs (away I believe?) from the edge of the box on the right side. One of my all time favourite players.
I like young women cos there stories are shorter!

Terry Mac vs Spurs, 1 minute in. Remember he has run directly from our Area (it was a Spurs corner) to get on the end of this.

How could i forget!! My favourite goal, and indeed one of the most memorable moments ever for me personally as a Liverpool fan - Ian Rush's goal v Everton in the cup final, 1986 (the one where the ball smacks the camera!)

I was going to mention that one, but thought no-one else would remember it.Originally posted by JRC View PostAnother fave - Big Jan vs the Mancs, LC c'85. Hardest Shot. Ever!
He picked it up near halfway, ploughed through a tackle with the lamentable Whiteside and just kept on running (which, to be fair, was something of an achievement in itself). Just before reaching the edge of the box he unleashed an absolute hurricane of a shot which, had Gary Bailey got anywhere near it, would have reduced his hands to bloody, quivering stumps.
He also got a penalty in the same game, we came from behind to win 2-1.
Never seen it on telly since it happened, but I remember the Daily Mirror having a centrespread the next morning devoted entirely to the big fella's almighty explosion. As it were.
