I thought that this wasn't possible due to health and safety issues? I'm sure i've read somewhere that they can't have a single stand and that it has to be split due to access or something?

Building of the new stadium starts!

The steel is ordered 3 months ago and bulldozers starts working monday 2.april according to the Stadium manager, Ged Poynton

The roof will be tilted downwards, to cover all the seats, but also to keep the sound levels better. Keeping the unique Anfield atmosphere is key.

The yanks wont make a lot of changes since that will mean a new application. Hicks also confirms this.

basically the changes will be small details like the lounges and bars, and how many. They are focusing more on functionality and keeping the stadium open a longer period before and after the games.

It will not be a multi functional arena, but a football stadium.
