    Barcelona.......

Ok, we have been talking about this game for months, there has been trepidation from some and lots of bravado from others.
The question is "who will go through and why" try to think with your heads and not your hearts. Aggregate scoreline predictions would be cool so we can look back and see who the clever or lucky ****s are.
I can actually say (for once in my life) I am very unsure which opinion to state, so perhaps i need some guidance.

    5 goals (target 15)

    3 assists also........

We will go through because we'll be disciplined on the pitch, patient, and will be happy to accept sitting back and defending when necessary. I predict 0-0 in Barca with a 1-0 for us at Anfield with SG being the scorer. I'm expecting two massive games from him. He's rarely if ever let us down in Europe when it mattered so cometh the hour...

I think we'll see a 1-1 draw this week with another memorable 3-1 win at Anfield.

We will go through because we've got the players to stop them playing, if that makes any sense.

I genuinely believe that of all the teams in Europe, ourselves and Chelsea are best equipped to beat Barca because we can shut them down and then kill them off.

I expect a defensive performance in the Nou Camp and us to grind out a hard earned 0-0 draw. It won't be pretty, and Barca may throw their toys out of the pram again, but it will set us up nicely.

At Anfield, an early goal will be vital, we'll get it, Barca will dominate possession for the rest of the game, and we may hit them on the break and get a second, but i'll stay conservative and say it'll be 1-0.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

Hope you're right. I'd be amazed if we keep two clean sheets against Barca.

We'll thump them 2-0 away and draw 0-0 at home

I think we will go out.
Reason : We are not looking as good defensively this year as we were last year imo.

It all depends on the result over there.

I think we have to go 4-4-2. Their weakness is the centre backs and keeper. For me Crouch and Bellamy have to start. Bellamy's pace will mean their defence has to sit deeper, and Crouch will win headers all day against Puyol and Marquez who aren't the biggest.

Gerrard on the right to help Finnan with Ronniedinho with Boss and Xabi in midfield.

Hopefully if we can bring it back to Anfield in the balance our fans there on the night can do a Chelsea and swing it our way. That could be the difference.

When it comes to European ties - I always remember what Houllier used to say: "You can't win a tie in the first leg - but you can lose it".

I think that pretty much sums up our tie with Barca. If we're more than 1 goal down (without an away goal) in the first leg then we'll go out.
