Just reading a few posts on the Sky coverage and wasn t it great watching Cullina and Foster chewing on their sour lemons at half time, and then again at the end ?

For all their crapping on, I don t find them too offensive - just amusing. Particularly when Foster is there espousing the virtues of Barca, while the highlights are showing our opening forays in the first five minutes.

With a 63/37 posession stat in Barca's favour its hard to deny they played the better football. Now tryig to stay objective here, but I thought we looked pretty good going forward, and really Bellers was pushing well up with Kuyt - in my view. Like it would be any different with the rest of Europe's finest ?

Both teams showed defensive frailties in the first 45, and i thought we were good for our goal.

Im sure I heard Cullina mention Cisse as part of our squad in the intros .

At the end I guess they gave us our dues, but you know they hate it - they love the pure european game, and the fact that we are manned by foreigners from across the globe can t get them past the fact that the club is English.

And not to forget - you can t compare the like of Alonso and Gerrard to the world class Ronaldinho, eto (who didn t play :whatever: ) Saviola and Deco - keep sucking on those lemons boys, I don t think they even liked showing a Liverpool game, but sort of thought they had to .

The match commentry was pish, I don t mind Andrew Orsatti though.

Foster is a ******, he seems to think he is the be-all and end-all of football analysts...what exactly did he achieve during his career? He sits there smugly and acts as if he is too important to be having to deal with SBS. I am surprised he didnt blame Barca's loss on Graham Arnold....

Well sais Larakin15 Foster is an absolute **** and is very, very anti LFC. He couldnt wait for us to lose during the 2005 campaign and its sour grapes again. Foster's 'Liverpool didnt win so much as Barca played poorly and lost' routine is a disgrace. Craig the 2-1 score is going to be in the history books forever so get over it and get off our tele screens!

Mind you, i prob don t dislike Foster quite that much, I just think it is patronising to take such a lofty stance over the merits of one style of football to another.

One of the things they failed to address in their remarks for mine, was how solid we were when we didn t have the ball. Its all well and good to say we got 10 players behind the ball, they re easy shots, but you watch the way some of our more attack minded players back tracked and harried the Barca midfield.

Its the disergard of these things which highlights their bias for me.

As 4 Barca (I like them) but 4 all their possession wat exactly did they do?? Not much more than us, we just took our chances and defended well. Ronnie.......Foster goes on and on bout him but we hardly saw him in the game except 4 wen he took out Sissoko. Anyway I watched ESPN 4 this very reason as the SBS commentators piss me off but then again the ESPN ones are not much better.

As for the possession, we played like that as we were away, I'm sure in a fortnight it'll b much different. We should score more against their ****ty defence as they will b all out attack.

Sissoko was brilliant again, man that guy has some engine in him.
If only he could score some goals or put more decent passes through. But man does he run and run and chase n tackle even wen he fks up, always gets the ball back!!

Number 6 is coming lads, u can almost smell it!!

p.s. I'm an Adelaide United supporter and big changes occuring as we speak, big broom going through the club, Kosmina has "resigned", certain players being sacked or wont b played no more - about bloody time, change was needed especially after all that sulking and sore loser antics of sunday and monday!!

Him and Culina talk so much tripe. When they said Gerrard, Alonso and Sissoko were decent players but not in Barca's class I was fuming.

Yep, basically rambled on about Ronaldinho, Messi, Deco, Xavi. Then said while they are good players, Gerrard, Alonso are not on that worldclass level, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Basically, if a player does not do 5 stepovers each time he gets the ball, or does a fancy flick (regardless of whether it does anything useful), then he is not a world class player in the eyes of SBS. Simon Hill was probably the only decent pundit/presenter (Les Murray rambles on too much for me) SBS had, and hes gone now.

Criag Foster seems to think he had a better career than he did, playing for those bastions of european football Portsmouth and Crystal Palace, giving him the right to rate and slate players he isn't fit to lace the boots of. TBH i think SBS has been **** since they moved Les upstairs and Johnny Warren (RIP) left. I thought nothing could be worse than Tommy Smyth (with a why) on ESPN but SBS seem to be trying.
How the hell did they win best coverage at the Australian sports awards for the world cup (must have been because of Les and Martin Tyler).
FoxSports was not much better recently till they brought in Simon Hill, Robbie Slater is good but sometimes tries to hard to be non biased to us, but Neil (Ill say i support stoke so people think im hardcore) Evans who would just see an opinion of someones and talk about it like it was gospel and he thought of it.
Does anyone else miss the 'tash that was Andy Paschalidis he and Robbie Slater used to be a great team.
