If you get a chance to chat with the architect really push him on the issue of a single stand Kop. Is it going to happen ? How many seats will have ?

Also, try and get him to compare our new stadium with another current stadium in Europe...Benfica's stadium ? Man City's ?
It looks more like Benficas that citehs.

            from another site

Just been up to see the plans, after walking through a maze of corridors the Plans were all laid out on Exhibition boards.

One plan shows the Anfield Plaza, the other shows the Stanley Park Regeneration projects such as the Consevatory, Bridge, Lake, Bandstand etc and the third set of panels showed the new stadium.

Had a chat to the Architect and asked him are all the stands identical, he said NO. The kop stand will be a single tier holding 20,000+ fans (phew). Also asked was the design of the stadium based on any other grounds, he again said NO it will be a unique design and the first to have all 4 Roof's pointing in. The way the stands are supported is totally different to the Reebok.

They had that 360 stadium video running on a laptop in the corner, hardly ideal for everyone to see.

Oh and apparently Merseytravel are waiting on the ground to get started and the regeneration to kick-start and they are going back in for the Trams again.

Overall impression was that this was done to try and build bridges with the locals, a lot of it though was stuff that can be found on the net or on LFC forums. Suppose it served a purpose to people who aint on the net, there were a lot of pensioners there when we went at 6:15pm.

              That's more reassuring.

But a 20,000 seats on the Kop ?

I'd love it, but that does seem like an awful lot. Cant see it happening.

20,000 seats in an end stand in a 60,000 seater?

                Somebody's telling porkies alright.

                      A) The original stadium design is pretty much exactly how it will be.

                      B) There are no plans for a single tier Kop.
You didn't need to go on RAWK to find that out. I've been saying it for years on KT and more recently on here but apart from Kaip, Revo and a few others nobody ****ing listens because every thread turns into the same ****ing tedious **** about why the stadium 'only' holds 60,000...

And if anybody is remotely interested, one of my best mates has been approached by the architects AFL to go back and manage the project...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Neither end is two - tier as far as i can see. watch the video. they look like one-tier stands with a break that makes it appear two-tier

I cant believe our new stadium isn't going to have one, massive single tier Kop.

I dont want to leave Anfield now.

I’m more worried about distance from the pitch and the slope angle of the stands!
