Is Gonzalez going to do a Drogba/Ronaldo?

He has been piss poor this season easily the worst player at current form. What I am wondering whether people think he is going to do a Drogba? If he is **** again next season should we sell? Drogba took three seasons to settle in so maybe Gonzo needs as much time?
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

I think you're being slightly harsh to be honest because he has still contributed a bit to the team. Remember how it took the likes of Pires to settle in this league and speedy is only 22. I'm sure that in 1 or 2 years we'll start to see the best of him as a Liverpool player.

We need to be patient because not everyone settles into a whole new way of life that quickly.

Drogba didn't need 3 seasons to settle. He did a good job for Chelsea from the start, winning headers and helping the wingers playing off him, as well as occasionally exploiting defences with his pace. He got much better, but he was always good for them.

With Gonzalez I'm not sure, he's only shown glimpses of what we were expecting tbh. Time will tell, hopefully he can reproduce some of the form he showed for Real Sociedad. He might become a decent squad member but I would be very surprised if he suddenly turned into someone we all agreed should be a long term first choice player.

Gonzalez is a pretty average footballer, I dont think he's the 'answer'.

I think he is going to be brilliant. He is struggling at the moment but lets not be too harsh on him, he has not been that ****.

Massive potential and I see no reason why he won't fulfill it

I remember watching him playing in spain he was amazing I had him as first choice straight away.

I thought you would have said that you would eat your pants if he turns out to be good but I guess that you're not looking forward to eating your hat that much.

they need to give him the ball more, and he needs a run of games to get into some form. He shows glimpses of his potential, but he needs a decent run of games to show what he's about.

i think he will improve alot next season.

Do you think Bellamy is going to score 3 goals in our last 10 Premiership games ?

                    I dont.

I think he's "got something", but at the minute he's not showing it at all.

In his defence, there's the usual spiel about a youngster in a new, foreign country, but more importantly....what's the longest run of games he's had in the starting XI? Not ****ing many. He's never really had an opportunity to get into any rhythm and to find his form. He's young enough, and I believe talented enough, to come good.

Maybe a spell on loan? I would like to see him in ressies for a couple of weeks so he can build his confidence up by skinning **** defenders. Although he might get his legs broke by the old pro's.

I think that is spot on. because today everything was coming up the right. In the limited games that speedy is getting, he is being by-passed.

Catch 22 for Gonzalez. Hopefully we will stick by him more than we did with Barraghan.

He will come good, He will come good, He will come good....

All he needs to do is learn how to dribble with the ball close to his feet - he just seems to want to knock the ball forwards then run after it. And I do to think the ball needs to be fed to him more.
