Droghba has been at chelsea for two and a half years. He has done a job in that time too and i now a world class threat infront of goal.
As for Gonzo, I think he needs to try harder, if he didnt improve alot next season, i'd get rid.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

If by age 22 a winger doesn't know how to dribble with the ball close his feet then he's never going to learn.

As for whether he's going to make it. Who knows? But I've seen no evidence to suggest he will. hope he does but I'm not seeing it at the moment.

But he can dribble with the ball at his feet. In fact, after watching him in La Liga last season, the one thing that stood out for me was his ability to dribble at pace with the ball under close control. Barely seen any of that for us.

This 'he was good in La Liga' line is pretty hollow. Morientes is ****ing awsome in La Liga.

The two leagues are worlds apart.

                Yes seriously

He just needs a run of games to settle and then the EPL will see what he is all about.

Are you actually serious? The guy's barely had a chance FFS, he's been in and out of the team and I can't remember him having any kind of run. However, he's still showed glimpses of what he can do and anyone who saw him in La Liga knows he's better than what we're seeing ATM.

Give the kid another season at least before you start going on about how ****e he is

And worst player on current form is probably Zenden, not that he's ever showed any kind of form for us anyway.

In his defence, there's the usual spiel about a youngster in a new, foreign country, but more importantly....what's the longest run of games he's had in the starting XI? Not ****ing many. He's never really had an opportunity to get into any rhythm and to find his form. He's young enough, and I believe talented enough, to come good.
I agree with you there mate, even with out playing his best though, he can still be a threat.

I am saying give him another season or two but he has been piss poor, I am sure he'll admit it as well.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the lad, earlier in the season when we gave him the ball we played better.
Didn't go yesterday but other times when he's taking the corners they are miles better then anyone else.

Nando didn't make it here cos of the speed of the PL and he was too slow, but Speedy is the oposite, he was awesome last year in la-liga.

Given a run and a bit more experience i don't see why he can't produce the goods.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Catch 22 for Gonzalez. Hopefully we will stick by him more than we did with Barraghan.

He will come good, He will come good, He will come good....
Barragan left because he was homesick, otherwise hed still be at Anfield. He is highly rated by Rafa hence the buy back clause.

As for Gonzo, well its all down to settling as other posters have mentioned. I personally think he needs to bulk up like Ronaldo had to. A bit of upper body strengh would do him the world of good. Hes been far from poor but his performances in Spain raised the bar and brought higher expectations.

Will he come good? Yes without a doubt, Ive een him play on the international stage as well as in La Liga and he was sensationl in both.
                          Forwards.......

I think he will be a much better player for us by the end of next season.
He just needs time and if he gets time he´ll be fine.

No - but I think jhe might get a hole-in-one.
