In the papers for £20M, poss the missing link up front we need, imagine him with Kuyt or Bellamy or Crouch depending on who we are playing.

Sadly he was linked to Arsenal and not us! Would be a great signing, would still prefer Villa though.

So, it's Eto'o to arse, Torres to scum and Villa to us. Sorted.

        God, I hope not!!

Id rather eto'o out of the three of them. Just think he offers the most.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

He could link up with all our other strikers easily, whether his ego could stand being rotated is another matter.

As if you'd rotate Samuel Eto'o anyways. He'd start pretty much every game.

They're all pipe dreams anyways... there is no way Eto'o or Villa will be coming our way in the summer.

                  Says who?
If we have the cash available then I don't see why not.

the only way we would get either is if we offer say reina+cash for villa or alonso for eto'o otherwise chelsea will just outbid us.

tscum don't need any more expensive strikers, and they will attempt to stay within a budget, the days of them buying anyone for any extortionate amount are over.

They have bigger problems in other areas, and imagine all them big headed egotistical strikers at one club, nightmare scenario.

Sorry. I was forgetting we're only a small club........ We've just got investment so who knows how much we have to spend?

And if Eto or Villa dont WANT to play for Chelsea but prefer to come to us instead what happens?

Does Steven Gerrard get rotated out of the team?

Of course not and he's of the same caliber.

If he's avalible then there's no reason why we shouldn't try to sign him. Whether we would actually get him is another matter entirely. If you don't try you don't get.......

its on SSN that chelsea are going to bid £45 mil for villa :whatever: personally i cant see us out bidding them despite our recent investment. plus i dont think eto'o or villa will leave their clubs in the summer anyway and we have our new lethal striker in the form of voronin so whats the point in buying one of them

We will probably never outbid Chelsea, but I hope we will compete with Man U for players.
And if Rafa goes for Eto, Villa or Torres I would welcome any of them. They are all good enough to help us to the next level.

Would prefer our big signing to be Kaka tough.
