Barcelona offer Chelsea, Arsenal target Eto'o to Premiership clubs
    tribalfooball.com - February 27, 2007

Barcelona are circulating Samuel Eto'o's name around the Premiership.

Spanish agent Manuel Garcia Quilon has revealed on Spanish TV that he is aware that Eto'o is being offered to the Premiership's biggest clubs ahead of the summer market.

Chelsea and Arsenal were linked with the Cameroon international over the weekend following his row with Barca coach Frank Rijkaard and teammate Ronaldinho last week.

Quilon represents Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and it's suggested he wouldn't have let slip Barca's plans if the Reds were among the clubs to be contacted.

Eto'o is contracted to Barca until 2010 and earns a cool £3.7 million-a-year.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm not saying he's a better option that Klose, but he's certainly not one that should be ruled out, especially by a special needs argument like "he's too old".
Fair enough, but I doubt Trez is as good at linking play and holding up the ball, I would take Trez if offered, especially since Crouch and Klose are too similar for my liking.

"Reports in Spain claim Torres himself wants a smaller buy out clause to the one he currently has of £41.6 million. According to Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo, a Premiership club have offered £25m for Fernando Torres."

I don't know where you got the source for Iaquinta's buyout clause from, but Bojinov's transfer to Juventus is linked to the transfer of Mutu in the other direction.

Why do you keep quoting that website? It's total rubbish. It even recycles rumours from Koptalk.

Let me explain again what Tribalfootball is for a site.

It's a site that quotes newspapers, tv and radio. So it's not any worse than posting something from as, Marca, The Mirror or BBC for example.

It may be **** rumours but that is because the they use when they quote something is **** and not the site Tribalfootball.

I wouldn't mind him scoring a cracker of a winner to make it 1-0 to Barca actually, if all the above was going to happen of course.

                      We'd still go through.

as long as he scores in the last second of injury time that would be ok. if barca go one up il have a slow painful heart attack which can only be cured by us equalising or the game ending one-nil

I signed Tommy Mooney for 2k on football manager 07 and he just scored back to back hat-tricks for me. We should sign him to replace Crouch

                              Benitez eyes a move for want-away Eto'o

Rafael Benitez has put troubled Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o on Liverpool’s summer shopping list.

The mischief-making striker stirred the pot further with an interview that will be published in France — encouraging clubs to move for him.

Eto’o said: "When I look at Manchester United and Arsenal, they are both playing beautiful football. I have enjoyed my best triumphs at Barcelona but I could enjoy myself equally at these clubs."

Sources in Spain claim agents have been enlisted to push the 25-year-old to Europe’s elite clubs.

Benitez, who first wanted Eto’o, then owned by Real Madrid, when there was talk of Michael Owen joining the Spanish club, is out to land the striker he believes is the world No 1.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He'll never sign for us, simply too expensive.

But let's give him an atmosphere he'll never forget on Tuesday night.
