    Finally

So, here I am, a kid of 24 years old. 20 years on from the first time I watched and loved Liverpool (the '86 cup final since you ask, a 4 year old glory hunter), finally getting over to Anfield.

I know, it's pretty poor that I haven't made the trip thus far, but many circustances have conspired to prevent me from getting my wish and taking in a game.

Sure, maybe I'm not as devoted as some. But this means a lot to me. I'm going over for the game this Saturday, with my father who's a massive Utd fan and has been since he was 4.

I do of course want us to hammer them, but in a way, the result is almost secondary. It's going to be great either way.

Anyway, sorry for boring you all. I just wanted to say that.

Happy for you, Abe auld chap.
Hope you and your Dad enjoy the game, but that you will enjoy the result slightly more.

Not actually sure. My Mam bought the tickets and she has all the details.

Pity you couldn't have made the trip last weekm to Barcelona as your first LFC experience. Not at Anfield I know, but the carnival atmosphere in the square was magic, and beating them at the Nou Camp was something to behold.

I'm only just now recovered, and am still to scared to look atmy bank balance. If you ignore it, it will go away...

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

                Got it. Thanks.

Should he really keep a scarf / shirt under wraps if he's quiet and respectful?

Dublin actually. Like I said, I can't believe it's taken 20 years to get to this point.

                          Lucky barsteward!

Enjoy the game - and what a game to choose too! Hope you end up being the 'winning' fan of the two of you!

How did your mother manage to get tickets for such a match?

She got them through a travel agency here back at the beginning of the season. Bless her. She gave them to me and my Dad for Christmas. She's a rock star.

To be honest mate, Id advise him to not wear any colours at all, infact, depending on were in the ground you are, if he wears them, he might be denied entry for his own safety. I really dont want to scaremonger but he'll just need to use his common sense and it'll be fine. This is just the one fixture were the away support isnt welcome.
