It was the reason I bumped this post up, to highlight how little we actually know and to reserve judgement until a player has signed and has had a least half-a-season under his belt.Originally posted by lfc1394 View PostReading this thread proves one thing, until the player has played for us we have no idea what kind of impact he will have. There are a myriad of other posts with ludricous claims, overhyping or slandering of players who have since proved otherwise, if you are having a slow day,, stuck in work, have a look.
I must confess, it was DJS' expert opinion which made this one stand out.

Guillem Ballague called both the Fernando's correctly (well in terms of success)Originally posted by DJS View PostIt's human nature, even the pros get it wrong sometimes.
Who WOULDNT have taken Morientes? Or Shevchenko?
Both flopped. Doesnt mean Jose Mourinho (if he indeed was the one who wanted Sheva) or Rafa 'know little'.
Maybe we should let him decide who we should sign

He does, he would be excellant in Kuyt's role, or on the opposite side (left). He is like Masher, flat out until the whistle blows.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostOoops!
Also not sure why Rafa supposedly doubted Tevez's mentality. He works as hard as Kuyt...if such a thing is possible.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24
