I can think of plenty of RMs and CFs I'd want us to sign but I'm a bit stumped when it comes to who to sign at LM...

Hamill - Too young to see him make any immediate impact in the next season or so IMORooney was`nt too young when he started
Gonzalez - Has it all to prove for me and next season he has to make an impact, but could well be the solution if he does well.Deserves another season with a decent run..

Ribery, Van der Vaart, Vicente, Schweinsteiger, Mata....Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostI can think of plenty of RMs and CFs I'd want us to sign but I'm a bit stumped when it comes to who to sign at LM...Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Wingers : At RW, Simao has been having another storming season for Benfica, he will be cheaper than Alves but equally good.
Striker : If the rumours about Et'o are true then why not, world class finisher for 20m £, yes please. Another option would beVilla, good finisher who can score from all angles although he will cost a bit more than Et'o. Either or I'll be happy with.
Left back : I have not been convinced with Riise for 2 seasons now, sell him and sign someone who can actually defend for a change. I'll give Aurelio another season to prove himeslf.
If Gareth Bale is available then why not go for him ? Even at 10m£, he is a massive prospect.18-5-7-8-3

Yeah I was gonna say, actually, Ribery can play on the left. Schweinsteiger is a good player but will he be available? Vicente has had injury problems so I wouldn't touch him, and I'm not much of a fan of VdV. This Mata ****er sounds good, but surely he's just potential at the moment?Originally posted by AFII View PostRibery, Van der Vaart, Vicente, Schweinsteiger, Mata....
Ribery would be ideal given his versatility and how well suited he is to the Prem. Could tie it in with the Cisse deal too. Imagine if we got Ribery, Eto'o, and Alves. Mein gott

It's a mouth-watering thought, isn't it? However I would be very surprised if we got three huge signings like that this summer. Mind you just Ribery and Eto'o would do me fine.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostI do.I really feel that we`d be unstoppable next yr with those three in the squad.

He's going to be a class player, the player Theo Walcott could have been.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostDon't know much about him but let's sign him for the name alone
He's one of the reasons Derby are doing so well, I'd take him over Bale.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

For the right flank Alves or Simao.
Up front either Huntelaar, Et'o, Klose, Torres or Villa.
Agree wit some about the left back position, Riise been ****e, Aurelio always injured. So my choice would be Lahm if Bayern sell him.
My team for next year would be
Reina, Finnan, Agger, Carragher, Lahm, Simao, Alonso, Gerrard, Gonzales, Kuyt, Et'o.
fooking world beating team.

Kinell H. Not like you to play Championship Manager.Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostIdeally, I'd like Eto'o, Lennon and Ribery. Both Ribery & Lennon could play on either wing. On top of that Owen & Gareth Bale wouldn't go a miss either
By the way can those who have seen Gareth Bale play tell me if he's any good, especially defensively?
For the summer I think Harry Kewell will go if we get any sort of reasonable offer for him. We have this Leto kid arriving from Bargie, he's supposed to be good but we've heard it all before with Gonzalez (who I haven't given up on before anyone starts).
I don't think we'll sign another forward. It'll be Voronin replacing Robbie, and that's it. Of course we have to find clubs for Cisse and Pongolle as well.
I can see us going for Daniel Alves. Perhaps bringing in a left back also.
Where I can see us spending the bulk of the kitty is on a top end winger/creative midfielder. Somebody like Quaresma, Iniesta, Ribery or Robinho. Somebody of that ilk.
Busy summer for Rafa it appears.I hate Polanski

We definately need Alves to either replace Pennant or give Finnan a rest.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostIt's a mouth-watering thought, isn't it? However I would be very surprised if we got three huge signings like that this summer. Mind you just Ribery and Eto'o would do me fine.

Et`o is truly world class and Ribery has PL potential.Unfortunately i fear Chelski will do their best to scupper all big name transfers even if they don`t need a player just to stop us improving.I trust rafa to outflank Jose by leaving it late to announce Big name signings to stop a Chelski approach on our targets. You just know Newcastle will also stalk anybody linked with us.
