I remembered the debate well, but i couldnt remember who it was with.

Hats off and fair play, you were spot on with that one mate.

I still think he'd more than cut it at a club who played a system that was more suitable for him. But you got it right.

Mascherano was bought with the intention of putting Stevie out on the right more or less permanently - not rigidly there but with the option to float and get up to support the strikers-thus negating the need for a new right sided midfielder, with Pennant a squad player.

I think Alves will be purchased but predominantly for the right back berth.

The striker situation is the one for me, everybody knows the dire we need we have of a top level goalscorer in order to compete at the very top, hopefully this can be resolved for next season.

For the left - its the age old Harry Kewell debate, on his day he's obviously more than good enough to fill the slot, but will his day ever come? If he goes, who replaces him? Tough one IMO.

I think we will see a new LM and striker this year along with Alves, though who they maybe i have no idea.

I think there will be a couple of the current squad shown the door as well
this is what i've been thinking for a while- namely a LW is more important than a right.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

          Ribery....is the answer.
We should try getting a swap deal with Cisse and cash.

We need 3 strikers (one of which we've got - Voronin), and 2 wingers (one of which we have who may develop into a decent player - Gonzalez). But we need a winger who will hit the ground running and 1 class goalscoring striker and 1 who will be an effective repalcemnt when Kuyt or New Striker need a rest. For me, Crouch, Bellamy and Fowler all need to go. The trouble is 3 new striekrs at once may be a stretchtoo far. Depends on the cash available.

In a perfect world, sell Bellamy, Crouch and Kuyt and bring in Eto, Klose and Tevez.

IMO they are not bad players at all.

But they are not good enough for what lies ahead for LFC.

Who`s to say Et`o Klose or Tevez would be any better.I think they need better service. Two Wingers would help Bellers,Kuyt and Crouch increase their goal tally.

Bellamy hasn't a good enough last touch and if you don't have that then it doesn't matter how hard you work or how fast you are.

He isn't good enough and we need a better striker than him if we want to win the league.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I have seen all these men play and this is my opinion.

Do our current strikers need better service from the wings? Yes

Are they good enough for LFC? IMHO, no.

Bring in one WC striker and two bloody good wingers and then you'll see a difference. We don't need wholesale changes. I really can't decide who I'd sell out of Crouch or Bellamy but if we got Eto'o then Bellers could be on his way.
