What a bizarre comment

It was a bizarre decision by the ref for their free-kick, Giggs simply lost the ball. So glad this match didn't mean much other than team pride

Rafa needs to keep it simple this summer.

Buy a goalscorer, a proven one.

Buy a couple of wide midfielders who can create and score.

Currently we lack goals from midfield, especially with Garcia out injured, apart from Gerrard nobody else scores with any kind of regularity.

In the league Gerrard has to play in the middle.

I agree with all that.

For the first time for many years even the blue ****e have a more potent striker than we do, which is embarrassing. I am certain that if we had Johnson in our side he would outscore every single one of our 'strikers'. I don't even think Johnson's that great but he's a better no. 1 striker than any of our other 3 'second' strikers. Our strikers are support forwards. They would be great complementing a clinical goal machine.

Bellamy does all his best work making runs to the wings. Kuyt can hold the ball up and bring others into play better than most but he rarely threatens goal. Crouch, like Kuyt, holds the ball up well and brings others into the game but is slow as feck, weak in the air and seems to be behind the others in the pecking order.

Rafa, WE NEED A PROPER GOALSCORING STRIKER NOT A NO MARK FORWARD LIKE VORONIN.

On the left we are desperately weak. We have an average left back, Riise, who actually had one of his better games for us yesterday. Forget about 'it's his first season' excuse, Gonzalez is total sh!te. He can't take players on, he can't cross and he doesn't seem particularly fast so I'm not sure where the nickname speedy comes from. On the right, Pennant's ok but we need better. Unlike 'speedy' Pennant should be kept as a squad player.

As for Gerrard, he is our talsiman and best player and should play in the centre unless injuries to others force him out of position.

Put Gerrard in the middle, buy two proper wide players and at least one class striker and we'll be alright.

To be fair,Rafa said Voronin won't be a 20 goal man himself,he obviously knows we need one though.I'd be amazed if we don't start next season with an out and out goalscorer.IMO Rafa is filling his team with good workers in order to allow himself the luxury of a selfish striker who lurks in and around the box.

Bellamy was class today. He destroyed the Premiership's best centre half this season

He wasn't class, he was good. Our 2nd best player behind Carra. But when it came to the crunch (shooting and basic pass to Kuyt to score) he was found wanting.

Good performance from him, and he shouldn't have been taken off. Alonso or Momo should have gone, moved Bellamy to Rm, brought Crouch on to play up with Kuyt and SG back in the middle.

i learnt a few things from anfield

playing gerrard on the wing makes momo have to be the most forward midfielder we have, and he is ****e going forward.
