yes but the only way he would get on the pitch is when we are trailing barca by 3-0 and rafa would give him 5 mins to perform a miracle and when he failed to score 2 goals in that span of time he would be cruxified by our own supporters as being slow, fat and past it.

          General lack of quality.

With a top quality striker we will be challenging for the league title.

Bellamy, Crouch and Fowler are all decent strikers; above average definitely; maybe even good; but none of them would be considered first choice in a title winning squad.

Our defence is as good as any in the league.

Our midfield is top class, we still need a creative wide player, but even without one we can compete.

Our attack is nowhere near good enough. I'm a big supporter of all of our strikers, but besides Kuyt it is blatantly obvious that none of them would have been here if we had more money available.

Look at Drogba, Sheva, Henry, van Persie, Rooney, Ronaldo, Saha and ask yourself which of these players would not improve our squad. Then ask yourself which of our strikers would even make the bench in their squads.

I dont think we would have bought Kuyt if we had had more money.
It is not like we where fighting of any other big team for his signing.

I actually think Kuyt should have angled his run differently. There was a lot of space there and his run was not the best option available.

As for Bellers, he should have put away that chance he got when played though...instead it was a slow roller into the arms of VDS...

Rafa has been an admirer of Kuyt for a long long time. He is a Rafa player

Agreed. If we still hold the upper hand with 20 minutes to go we should get plenty of opportunities to counter-attack. There's plenty of pace in our midfield and with Bellamy hopefully causing some problems Robbie could be quite handy if he hangs around the area.

Actually, thinking about it, if we get to the last 20 and it's us who needs a goal then there's no one I'd rather have on the end of a cross or pass into the box than Robbie either.

can we stop saying bellamy was excellent please, he needs 5 chances to score a goal

he would have been excellent if he had scored the piss easy chance he was given instead of taking a first touch like a rapist

at this level he is not a good enough finisher, he is the type of player we should have as 3rd or 4th choice
