chelsea and arsenal are the same
we dont create enough and therefore get frustrated because A. we dont score enough and B. we arent clinical enough
and we've been that way for years.
2 defensively minded managers has seen to that.

Truth is (like it or not) it wasn't about being unlucky IMO, we didn't take our chances AGAIN and should've been in a position (i.e. 2 or 3 nil up) where O Shea's goal wouldn't have mattered. I have a pain in me bollix watchin' us dominate teams and not ****in' score, it's been a regular occurence over the last two seasons at least. That game on saturday reminded me of the Blackburn game on Boxing day - Another game where we should've been at least 1 or 2 nil up and end up getting robbed by a late goal.

Bottom line is we need a prolific striker which we haven't had since the welsh dwarf left (and no I wouldn't want him back ) We've just gotta hope that Rafa get's a 20 goal a year striker in the summer because the strikers we have are all good support strikers, all except God of course who as we all know isn't gettin' any younger

      Bring On Barca!!!!
sorry but i think your talking through your arse here ,we didnt beat manu, fair enough we should have but we didnt .we didnt take our chances -it happens ,but how can people complain that we have too many crap players after the run we have had over the last few months? teams with crap players dont turn the screw on man u for 45 mins solid , or beat barca in the nou camp . All we needed was a good start this year and we might have been serious contenders .get behind the team and stop sticking the knife in .

I think however we ought to be aiming for great rather than good players. Particularly in attack. Obviously we don't need a whole XI of world beaters but to be honest in attack, you do need at least one, probably two top class threats to even consider winning the league.

Did we hit the post and it rolled along the goal line and not go in? No

Did we have a legimate goal chalked off? No Bellers WAS offside.

Did we repeatedly have shots on goal only to be saved by a keeper playing out of his skin? No VDS made two decent saves and that is it.

Did we have any decent penalty shouts turned down? No, in fact Manure had a better claim to a penalty that us.

Did we lose a man for being wrongly sent off? No, in fact they had a player sent off for doing a girlie slap on Alonso.

Enough of this unlucky ****e. Manure took their chance and our strikers didn't.
what is the purpose of this post , we pinned the champs elect in their own box for almost all the second half ,we couldnt force enough decent openings its true but **** me ,where are you coming from, you expect their defence to be fairly good dont you. why are you so negative in defeat?

Negative in defeat? I'm expressing my opinion that I don't think we were unlucky. I think we just didn't take our chances when offered. I don't like losing, it's as simple as that. Are we only allowed to express all lovey dovey opinions on Liverpool then? Liverpool aren't perfect, far from it. It's a forum and everyone is entitled to their view.

With all due respect, Slur Alex and Wenger might be top bosses, but Rafa is above them all! He's a genius and nobody can overpower him. Yes, he loses a match here and there, but that's because our players are ****e at times or everything goes against us (take Bolton at Reebok Stadium for example with that blind ass referee). He did some stupid **** in the first half in Istanbul, but later got his tactics right and won the European cup.

But all in all, Rafa is class! And IMO the best signing Liverpool had make in this millenium!

perhaps it would be more accurate to say that manu were very lucky that we didnt win, ie risse two good efforts , bellamy to kuyt ,crouch last minutes etc , we arent perfect but why see your arse when we played very well ? and yes you are entitled to your opinion , i never said otherwise .

"My arse" is here whether we win or lose. I don't appear out of the woodwork after a win or defeat, and I certainly don't just appear to have a pop at people's posts.

So Carra have said that we need better players and I have said the same. Carra gets for saying the same thing as me and I get a lot of comments.

                          That's life I guess
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think rather than call us unlucky on Saturday, I think a better phrase would be "the best team didn't win".
