i know we have enough CBs at the moment but i thought Alex from PSV was awesome last night against the gooners.

He looks as if he will do well in the Prem & i think he will be an ideal replacement for the legend Sami Hyypia.

I think Carras backup would be a better description of the job he was bought to do. However I really do think he needs to get some games elsewhere before he is ready for our first team.

Palletta is history imo,Carra's replacement? it's laughable,i don't expect to see Palletta playing for us any time soon,a Woodgate hijack looks good business to me,he's a very classy centre half but i must say Arbeloa looks decent to me as a utility defensive player

Palleta is only a kid who has come halfway round the world to a huge club in a new country with a different culture to his own. Give him a chance FFS!!!

While I agree that he is nowhere near Carra as a CB, he does have time on his side and I'm sure with Rafa's coaching he'll become a really good player. Rafa must have seen something there if he signed him and they do breed some top defenders in Argentina.
