We should, but we have far too much integrity to do what the drunk does.Originally posted by desertscouser View PostWe should do a Ferguson re the internationals. All our players should feign injury and pull out of the game. I am willing to put money on Rooney, Giggs, Ronaldo and teh crack head not making their respective international games.
Short of that, like you say we should just rest them for the Arsenal game. They have nothing to play for anyway so who knows how motivated they will be.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

too right about 1981 mateOriginally posted by zimbo View PostOnly time we've won a final in an away kit was the 1981 League Cup Final Replay v West Ham - 2-1. Otherwise it's been consistently desperate.
EDIT: Oh, and of course the 2001 Arsenal Cup Final. Doh!
2001 it was the yellow/goldish18-5-7-8-3

More than happy with the CL draw which gives us a great chance of reaching Athens!
PSV will be tough despite them supposedly being the 'weakest' side left in the competition - having the 'favourites' tag for the tie will be tough for us as we normally do better having the 'underdogs' tag in this competition.
Having Chelsea or Valencia in the semi's is also an incentive for us due to past records in the CL and Rafa's connection, and I see us having a fantastic chance of reaching the final again this year.
All four ties look interesting encounters with the Mancs having a decent chance of reaching the final too - what a final that one could be if we both get through!
We have to deal with PSV first though - which will be no easy task despite us having two good results against them already this season, and we must not take our foot of the gas for one second in either game otherwise we could see another Benfica again!
Very pleased with the draw though!
Anyone know which dates the games are played yet - Tuesday or Wednesday first?

Ok.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostLet's do it. It's one thing not resting them against Scum before the Barca game, but Arsenal are small fry on our horizon.
Now all thats left is for you to tell Rafa
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
