He`s also a huge ST Pauli fan.Their fans are known as the best and craziest fans in Germany and sing You`ll Never walk alone at every game.Their stadium is 50 mtrs from The Shamrock Irish pub which is jammed before and after their home games with fans wearing Celtic and Liverpool jerseys. They see it as a HOLY TRINITY.They love all things Irish and English.Die Toten Hosen play regularily at ST Pauli`s stadium(Wilhelm-Koch-Stadion) which is also 500mtrs from the Reeperbahn, one of the best drinking streets in Europe.

Lots of the Sankt Pauli heads are also pretty sympathetic to the IRA, as I found out one night at a squat gig in Hamburg. Do a Fields of Athenray search on Youtube for the sing alongs. Makes expalining my family history pretty interesting.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostHe`s also a huge ST Pauli fan.Their fans are known as the best and craziest fans in Germany and sing You`ll Never walk alone at every game.Their stadium is 50 mtrs from The Shamrock Irish pub which is jammed before and after their home games with fans wearing Celtic and Liverpool jerseys. They see it as a HOLY TRINITY.They love all things Irish and English.Die Toten Hosen play regularily at ST Pauli`s stadium(Wilhelm-Koch-Stadion) which is also 500mtrs from the Reeperbahn, one of the best drinking streets in Europe.up your bum

St.Pauli is more than a football club though - it's followers are a rabble of punks, bohemians, "alternative lifestyle" heads for whom football is usually secondary.
I've been to a few St.Pauli matches and it's a great experience.I love the fact that they beat Bayern 2-1 once in a Bundesliga match and the video of the game was the top selling article in the club shop for years (at least they admit to being a small club unlike the bitters)Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

Their stall at the Ottenser Weihnachtsmarkt is the best, with AC/DC blaring out all night and decent prices for the drinks. The beggars on Ottenser Hauptstraße are funny, and add a bit of flavour with their tinny Discharge sounds outside the Döner Ecke. Now if you want a real small club with a decent punk following, go for Altona 93.Originally posted by Maestro View PostSt.Pauli is more than a football club though - it's followers are a rabble of punks, bohemians, "alternative lifestyle" heads for whom football is usually secondary.

by AFII thats whoOriginally posted by Reece View PostRated by whom as the best LB in the world?
seriously we will not be signing this guy. I would prefer us to splash £10mill on Bale than £15+ on Lahm. The money we have should be spent on 2 players, Alves and a top striker, such as Villa/Huntelaar. Any other players signed need to be wingers or attacking mids. Giles Barnes or Mata would do nicely.
If good bids come in for Bellamy (>£8mill) and Crouch(>£10mill) then i would sell, and replace them with either one top notch striker, and bring Flo back or spend it on 2 young talented strikers, ie: Mario Gomez
To reiterate- Lahm will not be signing for us, no way will Bayern sell for under 15mill."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Where are people coming up with a figure of £15M+ for Lahm?
When there were rumours of him signing for Chelsea after the World Cup (when his stock was at its highest, and when he had 3 as opposed to 2 years left on his contract), the figure mentioned was about €14/14.5 million …which works out at ca .£10 million.
I'm surprised at how everyone seems to be quoting the same figure of £15M+
Have I missed something?

I never said he would cost £15m. If I remember things right then I said £10m-£15m and that is probably what he would cost.Originally posted by Reece View PostNo, it's just AF making things up as normal.
If you check out who started this thread then it wasn't me.
I don't think that we are interested in him because Bayern would never sell him and Lahm would never leave the club he loves.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's the players that I hope we signOriginally posted by Harveybirdman View Postthen why have you got him in your team then??

That doesn't mean that we will sign them
I don't think Rafa have seen my signature and decided to buy them just because I have them in my signature. I'm 99,9999999999999999% sure about that.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
