I've nothing against the French... i'd love Henry.

I just don't rate Ribery. I think he has HUGE question marks over his temperament (as does Quaresma) and i don't rate him highly creative-wise.

Not as pacey and his final delivery is not as good as Quaresma for example.

I've been calling for him for ages. I think he'd be a brilliant signing. Proper width, pace and inswinging crosses and outswinging crosses.

But alas Pennant came top of the bloody opta stats for crosses and we signed him instead.

yup, me to, been calling his name for a few years. he was considered more potential than cronaldo, at sporting. sold to barca and never hit it off, ronaldo has been at the mancs for 4 years now and now finally starting to rock it, his end product didn't start to show until last season and this one he also scoring. quaresma is rocking the portugese league at the moment. i think if he had been given a chance at barca he would have come good, him and rijkard never got along and all got ****ed up after that, he used to have an attitude problem but seems to have gotten his affairs in order, and if thats the case, i want him badly ...

He is a dynamo of creativity. He singlehandedly ran the offensive play of a static France team in the WC.

I suspect you are right about the final delivery, especially in terms of crossing, but as for playing style and determination I think he suits the PL much better than Quaresma.

I suspect you are right about the final delivery, especially in terms of crossing, but as for playing style and determination I think he suits the PL much better than Quaresma.

I would like us to sign a pair of creative wide players. Those two would to nicely, althoug I admit to only having seen highlights of Quaresma, he doe seem to have all the necissary attributes. Any player we bring in is a risk, at least he would be a genuinely exciting risk.

Yes, he looks exciting enough.
Seems to possess the technical attributes at least. I am more concerned about the physicality of the league here, and his mental toughness. I do agree that he looks like a decent prospect.

In my eyes though, Ribery seems like he had to fight all his life to get what he wants. He gets kicked all over the place, but still jumps back up and wants to win the ball back or run past players again.

He's stronger i'll give you that. But as has been alluded to here and elsewhere its totally pointless getting defensive about it as its all very subjective.

Kewell and Cisse left me cold even before they played for us, but I had high hope for Moro and Le Tallec.
