    Jason Koumas?

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly on the trail of West Brom playmaker Jason Koumas.

The Welsh international is expected to leave the Hawthorns in the summer if the Baggies fail to seal promotion.

Liverpool have now entered the hunt for a player who has already attracted interest from a clutch of Premiership clubs.

Koumas was recently crowned as the Championship Player of the Year and is valued at a figure in excess of £3m.

Not sure how credible the story is...but for £3m i think he would be worth a gamble. He has definately got a bit about him, and IMO could really lift his game at a bigger club.

We could have had him for free but let him go as a kid!

Not for me. I think he's found his level.

He's always been a talented player and looked a real prospect at Tranmere. I had it in my head that he struggled in the Prem with West Brom, but having just looked him up, it turns out he was their Player of the Season in their spell in the top-flight.

Besides, isn't he an ardent Bluenose?

there is more chance of rafa resigning Diao to play as the creative midfielder than us signing Pirlo or Kaka

Possibly. He's looked too good for the Championship for much of this season, in fairness. I don't think his level is the upper echelons of the Prem though, like you said.

This story has to be pure bull ****. Koumas is nowhere near good enough for us.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
