FFS Official Site! Stop embarassing yourselves!!!

Just gone onto it, and they are building up Saturday's game as some sort of massive event, calling it: The Battle for 3rd.

Don't they know that this is exactly what people take the piss out of us for? Yes, we are playing Arsenal on Saturday, yes I will be there, yes it will be a big game because it always is when we play them, but FFS: The Battle for 3rd? Does it really matter if we come 3rd or 4th? It's exactly the same. I'm sure Arsenal feel the same way too.

Our season is all about the Champions League now...and we will win it. I've got the same feeling in my waters that I had in 2005...and I don't give a **** if we come 3rd or 4th.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

I have a feeling in my waters to but I won't bet on us as I will jinx us.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Poor old Seat22. His days are numbered.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I totally agree with you there jonesie mate. Just noticed this now and it's embarrassing!

Don't know why they do that. It's probably because matches these days are getting spectacular. Just remember that "GRAND SLAM SUNDAY" on Sky Sports. The same's here... Match for a 3rd - Jesus Christ, they really can embarrass us sometimes (not to mention their topics of reports sometimes).

But it is the battle for 3rd,where`s the problem?.I`d rather we beat Arsenil to third than coming 4th.Being the 3rd best team in England is surely better than being the 4th...................

Sounds like the title of an Everton commemorative DVD:

                            'The Battle for 13th'.
