Has lost my admiration as a former Liverpool player - he is a weak puppet trying to make and name for himself by being controversial. Who else is stirring about Gerrard's postion other than Redknapp?

Agree completely. I used to think very highly of him but I no longer consider him part of our history the **** stirring little media monkey.Originally posted by Eth View PostHas lost my admiration as a former Liverpool player - he is a weak puppet trying to make and name for himself by being controversial. i wish he woud shut it about Gerrard though, its almost like he is **** stirring.
He should also quit taking over as host tooBill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I thought he was terrible as a pundit, but which former playing pundits are not terrible? It's just a job, and they get paid to stir controvesy.
I was just watching some of the old videos of LFC, and Redknapp was one of the best passer of the ball. I was thinking the other day that he was our Xabi Alonso in the late 90s, long range passes, short range, pass to feet, hit a good shot of the ball, and great freekick taker. Granted his tackling is ****e, but he always gave more passion then alot of other ex- and present LFC footballers.
He wasn't over-rated, he was just unlucky with injuries, and like Rob Jones etc, he did not have the chance to fulfill to bring his talent to an even higher stage.
