    Jamie Redknapp

Has lost my admiration as a former Liverpool player - he is a weak puppet trying to make and name for himself by being controversial. Who else is stirring about Gerrard's postion other than Redknapp?

I know I'm risking the wrath of a lot of fans but am I alone in thinking Redknapp was one of the most ovrrated players of recent times. I agree with everything above totally
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Agree completely. I used to think very highly of him but I no longer consider him part of our history the **** stirring little media monkey.

On a positive note Andy Gray praised us today towards the end. Saying that we look like a real Championship winning side with our defence and midfield, and that if we can score more goals then we'll be there or thereabouts. Which is true.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Seriously though don't mind Gullit, but he does seem to write us off sometimes

I thought he was terrible as a pundit, but which former playing pundits are not terrible? It's just a job, and they get paid to stir controvesy.

I was just watching some of the old videos of LFC, and Redknapp was one of the best passer of the ball. I was thinking the other day that he was our Xabi Alonso in the late 90s, long range passes, short range, pass to feet, hit a good shot of the ball, and great freekick taker. Granted his tackling is ****e, but he always gave more passion then alot of other ex- and present LFC footballers.

He wasn't over-rated, he was just unlucky with injuries, and like Rob Jones etc, he did not have the chance to fulfill to bring his talent to an even higher stage.
