    We've finally replaced Hamann properly.

    Top stuff.

Masher for home games, Momo for away.

Playmakers at home, hard workers away.

Compared to Momo, he's a world class playmaker.

However, the point is position for position we need the players with better flair and more control playing at home, and the more industrious and in yer face players away from home,

Hamann's game wasnt about passing with any great creativity though, he got involved, broke up play and kept it neat and tidy, unfussy. Like JM.

So that would be SG & XA then, surely?

Because they offer little or no creativity and Masher offers a lot?

I tend to agree. He is certainly a lot more comfortable in possession than Momo is and his passing does seem a lot better. For this reason he is a very good option to have

Xabi and Mascherano should be our first choice central midfielders with Gerrard playing as an attacking midfielder. Xabi played higher up the pitch today than he usually do and that is because Mascherano is good enough to help out the back four on his own.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                        Not dissimilar to Didi Hamann.

Is it only me who thinks that keeping possession is more important away to the big teams?

My reasoning is that you get less so its best to keep it as much as possible. Winning it and giving it away does you know good.

Excellent display today from Mascherano and he will only get better now - really seemed to be part of the 'team' and worked his socks off. Well done!
