Good solid performance. Finnan and Masher excellent, Gerrard and the centre halves solid. Kuyt worked well but without any end product, Crouch got on their tits all night. A good, good result.

He's not exactly frightning the opposition is he? I really like him too, there is something about the way he plays and conducts himself that I really like. How many goals has he scored in all competitions this year? I have faith in him though in the way that I rarely did with someone like Heskey. He'll come good.

I was thinking that about Kuyt towards the end, but then i thought his job of chasing down players in their own half was almost as important as scoring.

It's hard to fault a player for working too hard for the cause. It's obvious that his instructions are not to sit around up front and poke the ball into the net when it comes his way.

Once we get more established competent wingers, then i can't see Kuyt being used more as a target man rather than a shire horse.

Great result and performance, Liverpool again showing they are the masters at making other teams look bad.
Mascherano impressed me, Feel sorry for Aurelio, I expect him to be out for about 6 weeks now.

I disagree, he wasn't awful, he was tidy. He does a lot of invisible work for the team and if his confidence is flagging (I'm not sure) then playing him can be a good idea. Bellers probably wasn't 100% fit either. He could have been subbed instead of crouchie like.

fair play - i commented before that it could well be the tactics and I hope he comes good. I just worry that he doesnt have the basics - i.e pace and top drawer first touch.

I agree, he never really got any service either to score from. It is not like we we where making clean cut chances for him, we had 3 or 4 real chances all game.

There is still a match to play for. Remember that we came from 3-0 down. We must treat the return leg as a match to be won. If we can score then we can probably ease up a little bit but still, that would be dangerous. PSV would throw the kitchen sink now.
