Decent first half though, think we should go for it 2nd half, these boys are there for the taking.
Nice goal by Stevie G, should score more with his head as he just showed he is capable of doing it, nice cross from Finnan and brilliant header into the corner.

i wouldnt expect a yellow because he ultimately won the ball, it wasnt blatent in anyway.

if a PSV player had bought stevie down like that in a similar position i'd expect a yellow to be honest

it was a good tackle in old fashioned football but its europe and dems de rules.
i think it would have been a booking even in the modern english game.

if javier doesn't bring him down running that the least defender in the final 3rd which probably makes the ref reach for his cards

Yup, agreed, we could easily take a 2 goals lead back to Anfield, and make the job a little less stressful for the home leg.

Yeah he's just a bit short of form at the moment and he'd probably be better of being swapped for someone with a bit of pace. 4-5-1 with Gonzo or JP s a good shout.

I agree we could do with some pace up front and on the flanks as this lot are there to be taken. 2-0 and its over.
