Would I prefer him to Eto, Villa, Torres or Klose? NO.

Thats quite a few quality potential fantasy signings you have mentioned there. I'm sure even Fowler could finish with service provided from those guys.

I honestly don't have a clue who could be the next big goal scoring machine for us. Insert your favourite here=>>>>

Maybe we should be looking at creativity rather then a new very pricey striker.

        Surely not?

Some of our recent results meant we had the lions share of possesion yet failed to beat the keeper.

I'm talking about the big games too (Scum at home). We had creativity in abundance but no fecker could finish it. Good Keeping?.... Poor finishing?

I wouldn't be too arsed if we didn't break the bank on a striker, but the position certainly needs addressing. If we are not getting that 20 goals a season striker, we need 2 10 goals a season wingers.

Maybe our attacking play would improve enough to create more open chances.
I agree we need a striker, but we also need top class wingers on both wings.

I totally agree with that if our striker option is not Raul.

Liverpool are ready to move for Real Madrid captain Raul.
The News of the World says Rafael Benitez has been tipped off Real's skipper will be sold at a cut-price £5million at the end of the season.

And the Kop boss is in pole position to snap up the striker, who has been revered by Bernabeu fans for the last seven years.

A Madrid source revealed: "Real president Ramon Calderon is starting to think it is time to overhaul the squad and bring in younger and fresher players."

Raul's agent, Gines Carvajal, declared: "If he leaves Real his destination would be easy to choose. It would be England."
But lets be realistic here; they'll never sell him, and he wouldn't want to leave.

Eto'o: Rafa was his youth coach at Real and the comments are flattering. No bridges burned there.

Villa: Mates at our club and we are very much spanglish, which would also help with Torres.

Henry: We all know his past comments.

Another is our European cup pedigree. Most foreigners care more for European glory than domestic. Remember GH saying how Stevie and Mickey classed the FA cup as their fave trophy whilst he prefered the UEFA. The new owners and stadium on the horizon will also go along way. And of course, we can pay the top wages now............
So many assumptions in this post, and you know what the saying is about assumptions.

I didn't think people wanted it explaining so simple?

I'd take a Bosman Raul as 4th striker. There are 2 problems with that:

                          1) Real want money for him
                          2) He wouldn't come as 4th choice

At a similar age and experience I'd take Klose, who can finish, has more physical presence and can head a ball (which Raul can't).
