I said that weeks ago but got slagged off. It's obvious to me that his peripheral vison is flawed...

i don't think he is fully fit to be honest. since he came back from injury (and we were all gutted when he was because he was playing well)

add in the eyesight issue (and none of know if that means he can't see a red shirt to pass to or not)

and his age and i think it would be pointless to sell him- he provides the squad and rafa with a different option if needed. neither xabi or javier are what i would call the most mobile.

most of the time their reading of teh game is enough but sometimes you need a lad who will sprint around tackling everything that moves

plus, if barca and juve are interested he can't be all bad can he?

IF barca say "etoo for cash and momo" its obvious that etoo has a straight cash price too. its just if we can match it. i still wouldn't include momo in that deal. once etoo found that barca are willing to sell he'd probably want to leave anyway judging by the way he is!

whereas if someone asks about stevie the answer is "not for sale"

That was obvious by the fact Pardew just stuck Mascherano in CM without any tactical instructions and by the way Tevez was playing in all kinds of roles apart from his favoured one.

Anyone that has played football manager will know how hyped JM and CT are in that game, each of them is potentially World Class both in game and in real life [if they aren't World Class already].

Football Manager is even extremely accurate with their favoured positions, JM being a holding midfielder in the game just as in real life.

That said, how can two extremely well paid Premiership managers with a network of scouts at their disposal fail to have heard of two of the most promising internation players around, when anyone with a copy of Football Manager 2004+ should be familiar with them?

Anyone who watched the World Cup would of been aware of their talents.

The only logical reason for Pardew and Curbs not knowing how to use them, was that the thought of signing them was pure fantasy......so they didnt even bother scouting. Im sure they knew "who" they were, i just dont think they looked into signing them, as the idea that Tevez would sign for WH was farcical

                    Super read that.
One thing's for sure Momo really better start improving his distribution and quickly or he'll find himself on the bench alot more often.
I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say...Masherano could prove to be the steal of the century.
To think he's only just 22 is quite unbelievable, he plays with so much calmness and authority for one so young.

Ps i'd be sad to see us selling Momo.
Can't see Rafa doing it this summer though.

Momo wont be sold for nothing. It will have to be an offer to good to refuse. Despite his passing troubles, he is a very good player. We would be silly to get rid.

People say that Momo is young and will get better with age.....and i have no doubts he will. That same logic can be applied to Mascherano, he is also very young, and a far far better distributor and holding mid than Momo will ever be....and he will also get better.

Its a mouthwatering thought we have 2 of the best midfield destroyers in our ranks.....good times ahead.

If Momo's eyesight's not too good then he needs to be careful when Rafa puts what looks like a contract under his nose and says "sign here".....

It's crazy what went on at West Ham at the start of the season, not just the way Tevez and Mascherano were aquired, but the whole takeover saga and self-inflated egos which were obviously prevalent at the club following a decent first season back in the Premiership. Too many players and the manager believing their own hype IMO. The loss of Peter Grant to Norwich cannot be underestimated either.

Regarding Momo's position and Anfield, I can't see him being sold unless an offer which cannot be refused is put on the table (£10m or player swap). Momo himself may get frustrated next season though when his games will be limited unless he strengthens his game (passing, shooting, compusure and guile - qualities which are a must in Liverpool shirt).

All in all though, we're in a healthy position with our central midfielders. We've got three excellent centre midfielders (all of which you could perhaps call 'world class') and Momo at the moment with Guthrie hoping to push for first team action next season. Zenden's days at Anfield look to be numbered.

but you'd be happy to see Garcia go? at the moment the only diff between the two is that Garcia is creative and scores goals, Sissoko doesn't.

The Reason why Masher did not play more often was if he played one more game for West Ham he would have cost them 25mil because Kia did not buy the club. Pardew, Curbishley and Eggy obviously did not think he was worth it
