haha no chanceOriginally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostWas going to say I would have a problem with the Mcdonalds memorial stand etc.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Good idea - but as far as I know, the statue of Shanks, The Shankly Gates and The Paisley Gates will be uprooted from Anfield and rebuilt at the new stadium. So maybe with Bob and Shanks already being commemorated, we could honour some legendary playing figures from our past?Originally posted by Eth View PostThe Bob Paisley Stand

The Memorial Stand - Dedicated to the 96 and the 39
I'm thinking along the lines of Elisha Scott, Billy Liddell, Ian Callaghan. Men who devoted huge chunks of their lives to our club. Naming a stand after one or two of these greats would send a message to young players about honour and about loyalty to club.
Just a thought.
The Memorial Stand is an excellent name and a great idea however.
Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

Love both these ideas, would make me even prouder to have memorial stand and i love the idea that if players work hard enough, give their all and live and breathe liverpool they may, one day, get a stand named after them...**** me, that would make me want to die for the team even more!!! great ideas...lets hope g.g & t.h read this eh.

Maybe we could just name the goal post (singular) after him. We wouldn't want to get carried away.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Fitting, Babb getting carried away would have been more memorable though.Originally posted by johnp View PostMaybe we could just name the goal post (singular) after him. We wouldn't want to get carried away.
