    That#s ****ing harsh.

That save against ballack was world class. Even the winner was tricky, he was caught between defending the near post/preparing for the cross goal pass. The fullback was more culpable IMO.

You know, if we bang 6 or 7 past PSV tomorrow, i'd feel a lot better...

They looked great tonight but if we faced each other in the finals, it will be very cagey. Don't think that they will play all out attacking football. We played them off the park at Anfield only to lose to a jammy goal at the death. My only worry is the scum ****s have good fortune scoring jammy winners when they shouldn't. In the CL, we are the best team in the comp.

          i totally agree

no one will favour us against the chavs or the scum, and that's just how i like it

we are in good shape, the squad looks sharp and well rested, this is the only competition we have to worry about, we have started playing some good football and scoring goals, we are winning when we don't play well, the chavs and scum will be focusing on the PL, they cannot rotate their key players, rafa is so tactically astute in europe it's scary, we've proven we can beat anyone.....

i say bring them on, it will make #6 all the more glorious to win it over those scummy ****s from manchester

let's start with this evening, then take it from there.

the scum and blue scum are having the most incredible season, on course for the quadruple and the treble, but nothing's been won yet. For them or us.

The good thing is we are back to being underdogs, which suits us just fine.

I see our european line-up as
            Reina
            Finnan Carra Agger Arbeloa
            Gerrard Alonso Mascherano Riise
            Kuyt
Crouch (the post nose job good header)

I don't know if we'll win it, but we have a midfield who can dominate any of the other sides in the tournament, a great defence, and a striker bang on form, so we are definitely in with a shout.

As for the scum supporters, while they continually plead innocence, there has been trouble at their last 3 European matches, and I doubt that's just down to bad luck.

We need to destroy PSV tonight and send out a message - I went to bed when Utd scored their first and I woke up today and its the worst possible senario....

We have to beat Chelsea to get to a nightmare of a final against the scum.

              BRING IT ON

I've just walked past OT, right across the forecourt.

**** me, I very nearly lost it.

Firstly, there were about a dozen PSV fans there, taking pics and stuff. They got virtually mobbed by some Mancs..."good luck against those fookin Scousers tonight lads!"...

Even worse, the Sky cameras were there and a load of MUFC muppets were queuing up to be filmed with THE EUROPEAN CUP. Yes, our trophy. A replica of course, but it's still ours. One deluded c*nt was singing "we want our trophy back, we want our trophy back".

I was very close to losing the plot, but I walked onwards and left the deluded pricks to it.

what we seen last night was a very naive Italian side going to Old Trafford expecting a European style game.
United played the English way and let the Italians worry about how they played, and they are right. However, this is not something that would catch a team like us or Chelsea out, or even Bayern Munich.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

As good as United were last night - and at times they were fabulous, they were virtually given the freedom of Old Trafford. Roma from their defensive midfielder backwards were truly awful.

Pizarro was clueless - yes he made some nice passes but slow as hell and not a hard worker. The two centre halves were terrible, Mexes was being continually being pulled out to the right of their defence and Chivu looked like his sight and judgement were being screened by that face mask, add the fact that the fullbacks weren't exactly impressive and I've not even spoken about one of the dodgiest goalkeeping displays I've seen.

Yes United were very impressive, but Roma played into their hands and had a keeper that couldn't save a thing. The score line would/should have been about 4-0.

The results last night haven't changed my opinion for the next round (should we get through!) basically it's going to be very tough to win the competition, but we knew that already.

People need to stop creaming themselves over United's performance yesterday. It was a one off game where everything worked for them against an absolutely abysmal side who disgraced themselves from the manager to every player in the side (except for Totti). Yesterday was further proof that Italian football is no longer what it used to be.

                          Come on Bayern!!!!!

United peaked last night. They will never get away with that against Muncih although they could get past Milan. Although I think the Milan game would throw up more trouble.

Milan are average this season just like all Italian sides. If they get through tonight United will cuff them in the semis. It's ironic that Italy won the last world cup at the same time as the demise of club football in Italy.

Bayern on the other hand would give United a proper game and push them very close. They're not spineless like the Italians and would never ever do a Roma.

                              Roma..:whatever:

I said it to anyone who would listen after the first leg: Roma are a load of my arse and with 11 against 11 at a packed OT, United were always going to stuff them.

Roma never looked like giving scum a problem in first leg until Scholes obliged with his daft impression of tackling. They owned the ball thereafter and managed a measly two scruffy goals and got caught to concede one in between. They never looked like they had the class or guile in the attacking third to score at Old Toilet, save for Totti's missiles, and were always going to be susceptible to their offensive craft when it was 11 v 11 away from home.

The press and their fans will wank themselves into a frenzy after the 7-1 and let them at I say. We'll chug along and do our thing and hopefully it'll bring us #6.

But ****, Chelsea over 2 legs after that win in Valencia is a serious test.
