Actually Rafa said that in an Italian newspaper before the Barca game

Or getting ****ted about the head by the new Harry Potter opus...

Either way, there is nothing pretty about mass brawls in airport shopping concourses (concoursi?)

A shocking night for us tonight with the Mancs & Chelsea going through. We are so much more effective against foreign opposition than we are against domestice teams. Having said all that, people are getting carried away with it all, we haven't beat Chelsea & the Mancs haven't beaten Milan/Munich.

The thing both LFC & Milan/Munich have is that we only have 1 thing to concentrate on. The league/CL double is so hard to win for a reason. Man u & Chelsea can't rest anybody, we all can. i think it'll be a Munich v LFC final. we will have too much for Chelsea as injuries and the sheer volume of games will catch up with them, ditto Utd.

I think Milan will beat the Scum, but we won't fear any of them.

I've a feeling this is either going to end up as one of our greatest ever and most satisfying of finishes to a season or end up as the ultimate nightmare - and we know what that would be. My heart has started an irregular beat already with the 'possibilities' that may unfold, because i just know there is not going to be any grey finish to our season - it's going to be a black or white finish - joy or utter despair.

I can't cope with the stress.
I'm trying to be philosophical over this. If Man Utd or Chelsea win it they will have done so on a budget far, far greater than the one Rafa has been allocated. This is our second semi in three years. People forget man u didn't even make it into the uefa cup last year so it's hardly like they're in the middle of some kind of period of dominance a la US in the 70s/80s.
Regardless of what happens I regard this seasons campaign as hugely successful. It proves 2005 wasn't the fluke our detractors have alleged. When you look at some of the players, squads and managers we've had since Fagan we're looking in better shape than we've been in a long time. Good coach, new stadium, new owners with a bit of cash(we hope!) and the greatest fans anywhere( a barcelona fan told me so!!)
Football's rich are getting richer and further away from the rest than ever and that is a damn shame. Thing is, I think the gravy train has left the station and, thanks to Rafa and David Moores, we're on it. Football is, like a lot of things cyclic and there is enough going on at Anfield these days to suggest that the next decade or so could be a bit interesting!
