The sad fact for me is if he will not play the role Rafa wants, he should be sold.

He has the talent to do much better then he is doing and I cant see any good reason for it to be that way.
He even said himself that he was feeling more energetic and that his form was coming back.

He should be doing better, unless there is something we dont know about.

Why does his post deserve to be treated with disdain?

So if those players are doing the tackling and closing down duties, and freeing Stevie up from those duties, then what exactly is Stevie doing? Attacking? Pressing? Surely he has a lot more freedom to express himself and concentrate on his attacking game if those players are doing the donkey work for him.

Stevie has not played anywhere near his potential this season, be it through fatigue, attitude or whatever reason. I don't think anyone can say that he has played particulary well this term. It is not a simple case of one poor game, and it is not a case of anyone saying that he is a **** player, far from it. Pennant played poorly at the start of the season and was cruicified on here. His ability was questioned, and his attitude and commitment were also questioned. I did not see many posts telling people they were wrong to question Pennant's attitude or desire.

Gerrard was quite frankly a lazy **** throughout todays game and yes i watched the whole match.

For a Captain of Liverpool Football Club some of his performances this season have been nothing short of disgraceful.

He'd needa buck his ideas up ASAP.

He was poor today. He was PFA Footballer of the year last year and scored 22 goals.

wouldn't have said he was lazy, a lot of the stuff he tried never came off, but if one of his through balls had worked we probably wouldn't have had this discussion today
