    Ynwa 96

Today is the 18th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster and we shall remember those who failed to return home from the FA Cup semi-final v. Nottingham Forest on April 15th, 1989. It was and still is the biggest disaster in English football and probably one of the biggest in the football world. 96 innocent people lost their lives.

18 years on and still no justice for the 96! Fight for their justice continues...

    Boycott the S*n!

Justice for the 96! You'll never walk alone!

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

The closest I came to the tragedy was being asked to serve on the altar at the funeral of my infant school teacher's son. Having served at literally scores of funerals, I can honestly say this was the one with the greatest mix of emotions and reflections on needless waste of human life. The fact that Sky news decided to film the entrance procession made it clear that people outside of the city don't have the same appreciation unless they are connected to the club. To those who lost loved ones, my sincerest sympathies and support.

YNWA the 96 who tragically lost their lives that day. They will definitely never to be forgoten.

I wish their families and anyone else effected by the tragic events 18 years ago the very best for the future and hope that one day justice is served.
