id like to see Finann start on tuesday. I though Arbeloa might play left back with Riise left midfield. Arbeloa has been poor in his last 2 games, but i think he'll be a good signing for us.

Haha I thought the same thing. We need Finnan back badly.

Does anyone actually know what the **** has happened to him by the way? Hasn't taken a quick pedalo trip in Iranian waters or anything has he...

He made a mistake because the ball was spinning and he couldn't control it. It's very harsh blaming him as I think he's a terrific player. Will be a good player for us, make no mistake about that.

For me he looks good when Pennant plays, they link up well.
He's looked bad when Stevie's in front wandering.
You have to be very good defensivly when Stevies on the wing IMO as you'll be left exposed. Whereas Pennant sticks to his position and helps an attack minded right back.

Stevie on the right it has to be Finnan, Pennant on the right in a game we have to go for it I'd go Arbeloa.

Arbeloa looked really good at Left Back.

Against Chelsea and yesterday he played right back didnt he? Different postition and also, lets not forget, Arbeloa by trade, is a centre half.

He wasnt too ad against chelsea and yesterday he was playing in a brand new defence with 3 people he hasnt really played with before, maybe in the usul defence he is ment to be doing that. I like him i would play him left back and finnan right if he was fit.

To be fair to Pennant he does stay on the wing which is more than can be said for Stevie. I know JP isn't great defensively but even just being in the right mid position in general offers some shield to a full back and makes it less likely that the opposition fullback will push up.

You don;t have to tackle to help the defence.
Being in a position to block a pass or push a player infield can slow down counter attacks. Arbeloa push's forward and if no one is willing to drop into his postion to give time to get back he gets isolated.

A few times against the chav's Massa was filling in for the slot pulling the whole team out of line.

Its all about teamwork and little partnerships. Stevie on the right goes wandering leaving players isolated. This is OK with Finnan as defensivly he's up there.

That's why Arbelao on the left with Riise is a good combination.

Arbeloa MUST NOT play on Tuesday.

I really believe he could be a weak link for us,
his positioning for their second goal was outrageous.
he had a mare today by the looks of things..

Run ragged by Bejani and Joe Cole or that other knobhead fancy boy LB could take the piss out of him on Tuesday

                            Anyone disagree?
                            Yawn Yawn.

The whole defence were crap against Chelsea so to single him out for doing as we was supposed to do, i.e. cover the far post is a bit rich. Where was Carra or the man who should have been covering the runner? He can only be in one place at a time.

And everyone knows a defence without Carra is not properly organized. He was bound to struggle with no Carra and playing with the inexperienced Paletta along side him.

But, we lost so we need to rustle up some scapegoats

The post was about Not playing him at Right back on Tuesday night!

Not wether he can be a quality LFC player in the future.

Do you feel confident he can do a decent job at right back on Tuesday night.

Kinell, god forbid any player should ever be criticized.

The lad just looks a bit short of confidence at the mo and we can't allow for that in such a big game.

Maybe ok at LB with J.A.R. in front.

You called him a weak link. I called you out for exaggerating. And from that you infer I don't think you should criticise players
