    Ranking Competitions

There are 8 possible trophies each season up for Grabs.

Domestically - Premiership, FA Cup, League Cup, Charity Shield

Europe - Champions League, UEFA Cup, Super Cup and World Club Cup

How would you rank them in order of Priority for us to win it?

    My order would be

    Premier League
    Champions League
    FA Cup
    UEFA Cup
    World Club Cup
    Super Cup
    Charity Shield
    League Cup

I understand what you are saying, but The League Cup has lost it's attraction with all the major sides playing inferior sides up untill SF/Final level. As Arsenal and probably Chelski proved again this season that the Toll it takes upon teams who progress in it, is just not worth it. The extra games it requires at a critical stage of the season makes it a very costly cup

i agree with you there it's becoming a cup where we test our younger players, but i still thing loosing the league cup final hurts more than loosing the charity shield if you know what i mean...

what a bout skiping the league cup and introducing a U.K. league cup where all would take part, (top leagues), wales, ireland, england, scotland, N-ireland. are there any more

I think the League Cup should be for all teams in Premiership not involved in Europe. That way The UEFA Cup place up for grabs will be more of an incentive.

The teams that are involved in Europe dont have the Time or player Resources to give this competition Serious consideration

All teams in the Football League (ie the top 4 divisions) not involved in Europe you mean?

However, no team should be excluded from a competition for being successful, and the way the top 4 (and some others) use their reserves/youth for this cup is fine by me.

                Yes that's correct.

I think the biggest problem is not with the teams not wanting to miss out, but The sponsors who would be reluctant to sponsor a competition not including the Top Clubs

Heh, the sad thing is that the top clubs don't give a **** about it, but they're *still* the ones that keep winning it.

Must suck to support a lower / mid table club.

I agree completely, it would give the competition a real boost by making it a UK competition.

Might take some haggling with UEFA regarding the awarding of UEFA Cup places but other than that can't think of a reason not to.

                            first hand experience then?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
