If Wigan win on Sunday and West Ham lose at the filth then West Ham could go down, no?

The only saving grace is that they play Sheff Utd on the last day. beat them and it's likely they'll stay up. Scum play WHAM, and depending upon how many Wigan beat Sheff U by (and the WHAM result), Sheff U could still go. I'd prefer that to Wigan going.

The SCUM will let West Ham win or at least draw. They'll be resting players prior to the cup final

Are you sure? I would have thought that they would want to put a show on for their fans on the day they lift the title...

No they don't. You only lift the title at an oppositions ground if you win the league on the last day of the season away from home. If there's a home match left you lift the trophy at your own ground.

                What a daft rule

Anyway, I wasn't aware of that rule. I still think they'll rest players for the cup final, why would they risk injuries? Even if they do play their first team, they won't be battling, they won't go in for the 50-50 balls with the cup final round the corner.

I reckon SCUM will gift West Ham the points.

i think that Wigan have a valid point. Rafa can do what he wants but lets be honest if we where going for the title and a team fielded a weaker team agaisnt our rivals than against ourselves we would complain.

How many on here said it was wrong that Everton didnt field their first choice keeper agaisnt the scum?

lets not just think we are fine **** everyone else and then moan when scum and the chavs do the same

it doesnt alter the fact that the team was strong enough to win and that Rafa is the manager and can call it how he likes

You're probably right, mate. West Ham will be up for it.

P.S. What do you think of Mascherano now?!

Haven't changed my opinion of him based on half a dozen games

He doesn't have a point at all. The reason they ended up in the bottom 3 on Saturday wasn't because we lost to Fulham with a weakened side but more because his side lost at home to Boro.

Perhaps you will after 20 games.

He does have a point. his team are playing ****e yes but we would be really pissed off if the same happened to us

if they went down and fulham had three points more then he would be livid and i would see his point.

If we were playing for the title against....say....Bolton and they got a draw but SCUM were also playing for the title and beat a weakened Wigan because wigan had a cup final or something, I'd be pretty pissed off, that's life though. It's always hapened and it probably always will.

i agree chilli. i think it only becomes an issue at the end of the season anyway when things are being decided. if this happened pre xmas then no one would really have noticed but the pressure is on at the moment.
