    Darren Bent

Linked many times etc, however, Wenger & Ferguson are at the Charlton/Spurs match tonight, checking him over, or Berbatov perhaps?

Could it be a Bent/Tevez double this summer (PL proven at least), with flair from further afield being added to the midfield?

fergie is probably watching Berbatov bent is a good player but it depends on the price i guess

I quite like Bent, think he is a good striker, defo needs a move to a big club to improve. Will it be us? Dunno, depends on the price and other options open to us.

Yeah your right he's there to check out berbatov,,, But why should Liverpool be interested in Bent and not Berbatov?

Do you not think he covers the same ground as Kuyt and would get in each others way? He is that similar kind of hard working striker imo.

Would we not be better served with a striker who plays on the line of the back 4?

Neither Keane or Berbatov play on the shoulder of the back line. I think that Berbatov + one of Kuyt or Crouch would be a very Rafa style partnership.

I like Bent as well, but he lacks a bit of finesse and we need the players we bring in this summer to hit the ground running. I would be happy if he came with the right other additions though this summer.

Is Bent's record (this year) any better than Kuyt's or Crouch's?

I see where you're coming from, and spurs haven't done that badly in the goals department have they? With them 2 tonight takes their tally to over 100 this season!

I think it's becoming more obvious that the best way to ensure more goals is to acquire those strikers from within the PL itself, occasionally a good one is brought in, but that is becoming a rare occurrence, maybe Eto'o can be that one, who knows?

He isn't that old, and what could he achieve with the service that we can provide, he wouldn't have to work so hard as he does with Charlton for sure.

I, personally, don't care about all the fuzzy stuff. Goals is all that matters to me

Hope to god we dont sign D Bent. Average player in an average team. If he was that good he would have scored some goals to save his club from getting relegated. Next striker in line please.

I don't think we'll consider Bent now. Our targets have shifted due to our take over. Bent was the best of a mediocre group of players Rafa targeted.
