But by asking people to apply wouldve taken up more time wouldnt it? Do you think they could cope with 30k letters arriving asking for tickets? Atleast this way they can do it off a database.

It is a tough one i know but if they had said everyone who wants to be in a ballot write in or log in to online sales tick a box or even ring in quote fc number and confirm by Weds 9th May it would have been quicker, then do the ballot and they know there would probably be 95% uptake.

But its the time it would take to put all those people together. You wouldve had about 30k people applying regardless so a ticket office of about 30 people would have to merge together 30k different people using various methods and then log them all together. That'd take ages.

Your probably right i just know people that havent been all season will get tickets because they can afford them and it pisses me off, anyways i know a bird that works for the shop phone ordering call centre and am tapping her up.

Its a pisser I know but I really do think the club will award loyalty but cant come out and say it. I would be very very VERY surprised if someone who had only been to the 6 games this year and nothing else got a final ticket over someone who had been to loads or a season ticket holder etc.
