Diego or/and Gabi would be good signings.

With Hyypia aging and Paletta not ready yet he'd be a perfect defender to have to compete with Carra and Agger. Aggressive, great tackling ability and a touch of class. I'd be pretty happy with that kind of signing. I read on some Spanish newspaper though that Zaragoza will try to push for atleast 15me's for him.

But tbh I can't see it happening. I can't see him leaving Zaragoza, he is on a 3 year loan deal from Genoa and will most likely sign permanantly for Zaragoza when the loan deal is up.

Eto'o seems to be the first choice target alongside Villa and Torres, with Darren Bent under consideration unfortunately if we can't secure our first choice targets.

IMO, we will go for Torres first, with Bent as the back-up should we not get him.
I dont see Villa as a Rafa type player, and i have doubts as to how well he would do here.
Eto, would absolutely love it, but realistically i cant see it happening, if he did leave Barca, with all the other clubs bound to be interested i think we would be priced out of it.

Too expensive from where I live, let alone the uncertainty with the tickets. I briefed with the idea of going to Anfield, but as I am planning to go to Oz in November, I decided to save the money for next year's final.

2) He is not that good overall

3) He would cost WAY too much(even with the cash injection we need to strengthen in several areas.)

4) I don't like him

So on those grounds I hope we don't pick up Torres at all. There are other strikers around who are cheaper and better goalscores than him.

I think he Owen story is just a rehash from last year.....however he had two release clauses apparently - change of manager and failure to secure european football....but last year his release clause was £12m

As for Milito.....well again reckon this is tabloid talk.
Would be a good signing if we got him, but cannot see this happening.

Eto aside, IMO his game would be more suited to the EPL than Villa, I think the high tempo physical games suit Torres better than Villa

Again, Eto aside, these players seem to be our main targets from what we know, and quite honestly i dont think any of them score as many as they should.

I think he has the makings of a tremendous player, and hes gone a little stale at AM. That said, its a lot of money to shell out to find he isnt as good as thought, but that could be said of any player, every transfer is a risk

Somewhere between 15 and 20 million would secure him IMO, anymore and i would be a little miffed.

Under no circumstances do i want us to go for Bent. We need top quality up front for next season and he doesnt fit the bill in any way, shape or form

The solution to all of this is simple, do everything in our power to secure Eto for next season

Personally I dont rate Torres that highly and I think even at circa £20 million he'd be a HUGE gamble
