Seems unlikely but who really thought Rafa would have brought Robbie back at the tail end of his career.

I still think Michael Owen was one of the very best strikers in the world but after all the injuries etc he will need to prove himself at the top level again before he becomes a contender for any top club.

P.S. I hope he does.

I hope not as he isn't the player we need. He's too injury prone. Robbie's signing was from a totally different situation, we didn't have money to go for a proven player, so Rafa had to be smart.

This time, it should be different.

Maybe, but I still don't think we're in the market for Eto'o and Villa if they are going to cost north of 20M.

I can see us buying 3 or 4 players in the 9-15M bracket.
