He has other attributes which we have needed in a LFC side which has had poor-performing attacking players in the squad to date.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostHe has other attibutes which we need!!!!!
That's not to say we still need those same attributes if we were to go out and but better players, if we have the money available.
For example, I would sell Crouch, IF our striking line-up next year was:
Kuyt
Owen
Eto'o
Klose / Huntelaar
Tevez
I don't for one minute think we'll achieve that line-up, but we do need 2 true goalscoring strikers- at least one with pace
so I'd settle for
Kuyt
Owen
Eto'o / Villa
Crouch
Tevez

Zlatan is better than Crouch, anyone who doesn't think that hasn't seen that much football but Crouch has much better mentality and that evens things up.
Zlatan would also probably cost £50m+ to sign so I would keep Crouch and spend the money on other players.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I know he gonna be expensive, but 50m+ is way over the mark for me.Originally posted by AFII View PostZlatan is better than Crouch, anyone who doesn't think that hasn't seen that much football but Crouch has much better mentality and that evens things up.

I dont think anyone would pay more then 30m for him.

Maybe another option...
Lyon to splash out on AC Milan striker Gilardino
tribalfooball.com - May 13, 2007
Olympique Lyon are chasing AC Milan centre-forward Alberto Gilardino.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is ready to push the boat out to crack the top echelons of the Champions League and knows Gilardino is set to become available in the summer, says France Football.
Rossoneri management could be convinced to sell the Italian for a knockdown £10 million and Aulas is ready to also match the player's £15,000-a-month wages.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Maybe Inter wouldn't be willing to sell him but no one in the world would pay £30m+ for a player with a dodgy attitude.Originally posted by AFII View Post

The only way Eto'o will be going to Arsenal is via a player exchange. I suppose they could get bought out by a billionaire too but that's not likely.
If Arsenal want Eto'o they'll have to give Barcelona Fabregas or Toure plus loads of cash. Henry would have been the other exchange option but after Arsene said he won't be going I don't think he'll be going.
Eto'o to Arsenal won't happen IMO.Originally posted by Gordon Brown
