A truly superb header of a ball aswell which is something of a rarity nowadays. Header vs Villa at OT in !996 and header vs Villa at Villa Park in 1998. He scored a ****ing sensational hat-trick that day. It was on ESPN recently and made me remember what a truly great player he was/is. He has VERY typical Liverpool personality. He was great on shows like Soccer AM and Big Breakfast. Very funny, intuitive and witty. Like I said a typical scouser. Had the good fortune to have met him and he seemed more embarrassed by his fame and wealth than affected by it. A mate of mine said something funny about his nose or something and he roared with laughter. He should be made honourary life something or other!! Will be sadly missed.

Why do we do this to ourselves?!
I've got so many memories that I can't pick a favorite.
I remember the day he re-signed, I'd randomly flicked onto the official site and saw his big smiling face with a headline like: "Robbie so happy to be back home". And I thought it was something to do with a friendly he'd be playing at Anfield or something, but when I saw he'd actually signed...I celebrated like we'd scored! You couldn't keep the smile off my face for days.
Really...the only thing I can say today is:
Thank You Robbie...Thank You for Everything you gave to OUR club.

Aw ****, i'm actually crying here watching these clips.
Music in em doesn't help."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

he is and always will be a Liverpool legend.
I remember end of the treble season we had to beat Charlton to qualify for the Champions League, I'll never forget Martin Tyler's statement when Robbie scored - "how impressive is that?!!"
Sums up his career for me."The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."

I'll never forget it,it was a friday evening and my brother switched on Sky Sports news as we were sitting down to dinner,we were both grinning like cheshisre cats,I think we may have done a little dance, even me ma was singing,I actually feel like crying today.
I know he hasn't played much since he's singned back and wasn't the Fowler of old but I honestly thinkit';s the signing that made me happiest ever.

Yeah agreed mate (at least on something todayOriginally posted by Sir Bob View PostThe flick around staunton was sublime as was the finish.
I just love the Charlton goal because it highlighted what Robbie was, a goalscoring genuis. I can't think of another player who would have even thought of that finish nevermind done it. Robbie was always looking first & foremost to score. He was a finisher of the very highest quality.
)
When you watch it again he's reading the flight of the ball before every one else has and just a perfectly weighted touch.
Also we were struggling against Charlton that day and we had to win the game for CL qualification what a way to open the scoring in a game of such importance.
I think he was the most natural finisher I have ever seen, Rush Aldo Lineker Shearer all fabulous but I think eclisped them with his abilities.
Put Robbie in the 80's team what would he have scored in that team.
